C2E2 | Kid’s Day

Sunday, March 20th, we invite the young and young at heart to celebrate Kids Day at C2E2! C2E2 is happy to provide free admission to all those 12 and under to enjoy, create and, share in the love of comics, literature, and pop culture! Kids Day is centered around our Variant Stage on the Show Floor, and you’ll find the full Kids Day schedule here…

Word Up with WordGirl (10 AM-11 AM)

WordGirl, Scholastic Media’s definition dynamo and synonym-wielding super heroine, is elated (adj; thrilled or happy) to take a break from saving the day to meet with some of her biggest fans at the C2E2 Kids Day. WordGirl will start the day at the entrance to the show floor and then pose with kids at the Variant Stage

The Real Story of Puss-in-Boots (11 AM-11:30 AM)

Have your cameras ready because you’re coming up on stage! Join our crafty cat as she tells the “real” story of Puss-in-Boots. No acting experience required! All costumes provided! The first 200 children in the audience will receive a free ticket to The Bristol Renaissance Faire for their 2011 season, and families can get additional tickets for at Booth 944.

Disney’s Guilty Party! LIVE! (11:45 AM-12:15 PM)

Join the designers and creators of Disney’s Guilty Party — the award-winning, family-friendly mystery game for the Wii — as they talk about creating video games while four lucky kids from the audience play the game live on stage!

Tiny Titans Drawing Competition (12:30 PM-1:00 PM)

Comics creators Franco Aureliani and Art Baltazar take the stage for an old-fashioned showdown. Learn from the pros as they sketch and draw in a contest against the audience and each other.

Drawing Star Wars with Katie Cook (1:15 PM-1:45 PM)

Artist Katie Cook (Topps Star Wars cards, Marvel Comics, Fraggle Rock) shows children and parents how to draw Star Wars characters and have a lot of fun along the way.

Kids Costume Contest (2:45 PM-3:15 PM)

Come strut your stuff across the Kids Day Stage! Open to attendees 12 and under, C2E2 will be hosting this special contest just for our future costumers and cosplayers. The first 30 costumes kids will be accepted, and all will receive a certificate of participation.

Windy City Jedi (3:30 PM-4:00 PM)

Join the Jedi of the Midwest, Windy City Jedi, for a session in lightsaber choreography just for young Padawans!

Iron Artist Tournament (4:15 PM-5:00 PM)

Some of the most talented and dynamic artists working today bring their talents to the stage in a head-to-head speed-drawing competition with all the proceeds going to support Reading With Pictures, a charity supporting teaching literacy through graphic novels! Find out who will be crowned the Iron Artist!
